Fundraising & Expense Overview
Everyone in the group is expected to help with ALL fundraising.
This is your trip and you need to raise the funds for your travel. You want to raise more funds than your estimated travel to cover any unexpected expenses and it is a good idea to leave funds for the next year as they start their fundraising.
4th of July Parade
The group is expected to participate in the 4th of July parade upon returning from your travels.
Overview of Expenses for trip
Airline Tickets - Round trip flight from Ketchikan to Nagoya, Osaka to Ketchikan.
Subway / Local Transportation - Transportation in cities while traveling
Train - JR Kanayama to Nagoya; Shinkeshen (Bullet Train) Nagoya to Kyoto; Shinkeshen (Bullet Train) Hiroshima to Osaka
Motor Coach/Bus - Transportation Nagoya to Kanayama, Kyoto to Hiroshima, Osaka Youth Hostel to airport.
Ketchikan Airport Ferry - Round trip $5 per person each way.
Accommodations - Lodging while traveling outside of Kanayama.
ADMISSIONS & ACTIVITIES
Admissions - activities group participates in outside of Kanayama.
Meals - Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner while traveling. All breakfasts and at least one other meal per day is pre-arranged prior to travel.
Uniforms - What the group will wear while traveling in Kanayama. Usually shorts or capris (purchased by families), 4 t-shirts purchased by group.
English Guide - While traveling in Hiroshima to help interpret. If we can get the Volunteer Guide we pay their admission, transportation and meals while they are with the group if not, we will hire an English Guide.
